The Boom Room Partners with REC Philly
Collaboration is the seed that breeds success. The new Boom Room / REC Philly partnership proves to be no different. REC Philly, an agency that is motivated and dedicated to helping and promoting independent creatives, has signed a partnership with The Boom Room, an industry level equipped recording studio, rehearsal room, and livestream video studio in the heart of Fishtown/Northern Liberties.
When asked about the partnership, Mike Matthews from REC Philly said,
The Boom Room and REC Philly coming together to form a partnership is about as natural a fit as it can get. Out of our over 200 members, there is a large number that are musicians that need top quality rehearsal space to get ready for shows and The Boom Room provides just that. From the state-of-the-art back-line to the ability to record or live-stream the rehearsal sessions and even our members’ entire sets, there is so much value that any artist can find there. I am looking forward to growing our relationship even further in 2018 as our organizations push forward with our shared mission to provide high quality, affordable resources to the creative community of Philadelphia.
In this partnership, The Boom Room is offering free and discounted services to REC Philly members. The union looks to give the creatives from REC Philly yet another place in which they can synthesize their work, as well as spreading the word about the The Boom Room, one of Philly’s best kept secrets.

Singer and Songwriter C.Jae recently used The Boom Room to create a live cover video as well as for a video release. He says, “It was an inspiring and motivating experience. There’s nothing like seeing your hard work pay off.”
Since the partnership was originated, several REC Philly members have tapped into the benefits. Artists have used the Boom Room not only for the exclusive benefits offered to REC Philly members, but also used the space to host events to promote their own projects. REC Philly members, Singer/Songwriters Sunnie, Namarah, and Hetz recently had livestream video shoots at the Boom Room.
“I am happy to be introducing The Boom Room studio to the talented cast of artist members in the REC Philly network. For a the last few years, Dave Silver and I were emailing back and forth about how our two companies can partner up. We both knew that we had the same goals but come from a slightly different approach. I love how the Boom Room and REC Philly have a symbiotic relationship where both organizations uplift each other while all of the artists in Philadelphia get to benefit.” – Gary Dann (Owner/Director of The Boom Room)
